In 2009 I read a book written by Lee Strobel called 'The Case For A Creator' and it motivated me to build a PowerPoint presentation using beautiful imagery and adding in quotes from Strobel's book. Later I added music and then published it as a video, hoping I would get viewers thinking about what they saw and then discussing it with others.
My idea was to begin at the furthest reaches of the universe and work my way back to our own planet and then down to the smallest imaginable living organisms. I won't say that there's a 'surprise' ending but...! The video has spent the last ten years residing on YouTube, but I decided to move it to my own website in 2020.
Are science and religion diametrically opposed to each other? Did God create science as a way for us to find Him? Did the universe and everything in it come from nothing? These are some questions that many have asked. Watch the video and let me know what you think in the comments section below.
"One of the greatest tragedies of our time is the impression that has been created that science and religion have to be at war." - Francis Collins¹
I hope that you will watch, listen and enjoy!
¹Francis Sellers Collins, born April 14, 1950, is an American physician-geneticist who discovered the genes associated with a number of diseases and led the Human Genome Project. He is director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.
